The students in this video were provided a basic chord and lyric chart, then were tasked to create an instrumental arrangement of the song “Giants” with the instrumentation available from their classmates. Using their ear training skills along with their music theory knowledge they analysed the recording and created this arrangement with limited teacher support. Contemporary Music 10 is a course dedicated to learning how to compose, perform, produce and record music of contemporary styles.
